LOCATION – AROOR
Aroor village lies at the north-western end of Aleppey district and southern end of Ernakulam, the Kochi national highway Bypass. It is a seafood related industrial development area to the south of Kochi. It also serves as a two way entrance from and to Cochin city. It is linked to the nearby lands in Kochi through Aroor- Kumbalam bridge and Aroor-Edakochi bridge. Aroor, also known by the name “Satellite city of Kochi”, is connected to Ernakulam via Edakochi and Kumbalam; Kottayam via Tripunithura and Cherthala; and Kumbalangi, an island village, which is the model tourism village of Kerala. Other nearby tourist destinations are Fortkochi beach, The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace, Kochi Jewish synagogue, Cherai Beach, Bolgatty Island, House boat travelling in Alappuzha, Alappuzha – Chetthi - Marari Beach etc.
HOW TO REACH? You can reach here quite easily from the Cochin International Airport via Uber or any call Taxi (approx. 30 km). Or, you may travel from Aluva Metro Station to Kochi Metro Station and board at Vyttila Hub. From there, you may take any car/ bus facility which touches Aleppey and board at Aroor Bypass junction (Pally junction). You can either take an auto or by foot reach Jay Bee Castle Inn which is roughly around 300m. on Aroor-Edakochi State Highway.
